President John F. Kennedy was born in the upstairs bedroom of 83 Beals Street in Brookline, Massachusetts. The modest home, purchased by Kennedy's parents in 1914, was where the future president lived for the first ten years of his life.
Following President Kennedy's assassination in 1963, the family repurchased the home and Rose Kennedy, JFK's mother, personally supervised the restoration of the house to its 1917 appearance.
